Aiming to be at the forefront of issues related to biomass and energy generation, we also dedicate ourselves to actions to add value to the community, such as guided tours of the plant, and other actions.

Job Creation

Approximately 1,000 direct and indirect workers will be involved in the plant's construction phase. After completion, the number will be around 80 employees.

90% Regional Workforce

This is our goal, and for that, we rely on the support of SENAI-SP and the Municipal City Hall of Lençóis Paulista.

Partnership with Universities

We bring new perspectives to the job market and research areas to students through universities. Some of our partners are: Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR), Universidade do Estado de São Paulo (UNESP), Faculdade Orígenes Lessa (FACOL), Universidade do Sagrado Coração (USC), among others.

Governance

The UTE Cidade do Livro is an idealization of the IBS Energy Group, which since May 2002 has brought integrated and customized energy solutions to various sectors.

Certification Objectives

The UTE Cidade do Livro enterprise, being a project for generating clean and renewable energy and due to its socio-environmental commitment, will be eligible to obtain certifications related to sustainability.

The UTE CDL will have the International Renewable Energy Certificate, an energy environmental attribute tracking system designed to facilitate reliable carbon accounting.

Metric certification in commitment to the environmental and social sustainability of sugarcane, internationally respected. Chain of Custody Certification that evaluates traceability from the production of raw material that comes from forests to the product that reaches the end consumer.

Certificação de Cadeia de Custódia que avalia a rastreabilidade desde a produção da matéria-prima que sai das florestas até o produto que chega ao consumidor final.

Enterprise accredited by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Center of Excellence in Biomass and Carbon Research of the Federal University of Paraná, which carries out the plant's carbon balance project and monitoring in the UNFCCC.
